Head of School

Ms. Soraluz was born and raised in Peru until her family emigrated to Connecticut when she was 10 years old. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University where she worked extensively with youth in Massachusetts. After graduating, she worked closely with Latino Communities as a staff member of Congressman Himes. She returned to school to earn her master’s degree in social work from Boston University and began her journey at Phoenix as a School Social Worker for the first two years. During the past two years, Ms. Soraluz has challenged herself and her team to ensure all students receive the support and structure they need to succeed as the Director of School Culture. She hopes to instill in all students her passion for education and for serving their communities.
